Alexander
(Click for additional pictures)
Alexander is a gorgeous 5 year old male dane. He has had a rough life but still loves his people.
He enjoys leaning on his people and getting ear rubs, he loves to be rub right between his eyes on his nose.
He is good with female dogs and horses but not so hot with males and cats . He thinks they are both fun to chase.
Alexander is great with men he also prefers the company of older kids. The little ones just move too fast and
tend to startle him a bit. Alexander is looking for a family with a nice big couch to call his very own. Don’t
let his age fool you though, he loves to go on long walks and play with his stuffies. He can still de-stuff
one in just a few seconds and then he will play with the empty shell. He knows that the perfect family is out
there waiting for him so he will happily dream about that special day when he is the one! Alexander has come
back into rescue because of a divorce he is a happy go lucky boy and just loves to lean on his people,

Azlyn

(Click for additional pictures)
Azlyn is a 5 year old fawn female with natural ears. She is a typical goofy big giant. Azlyn gets so excited that she tends to step on those smaller than she is, including small kids. Azlyn is a great dog but due to a new baby in the home, the family feels that it would be best to rehome her. She is such a sweet girl and is very eager to please. Azlyn tends to be reactive to strange dogs on a leash but with a little time and a slow introduction, she does well with most any dog. She does live with another large breed dog and family members bring their dogs over for play dates so she needs someone who is willing to work patiently with her. Azlyn loves her people to death and enjoys the company of older children. If you can give Azlyn the special home that she needs and help her work through some of her quirks, please contact your local coordinator.
Boozer
(Click for additional pictures)
Boozer is a 4 year old black male with natural ears. He came to rescue when his previous family thought
they could no longer provide for him. He is good with kids, but because he can unknowingly knock down the
little ones he should be placed with a family with kids 8+. He is good with other large dogs but he tends
to push the little ones around but loves to play with the Dane and small dog in the foster home. Boozer
should not be placed in a home with cats or rabbits. He is a little to interested in them and needs to be
reminded constantly that they are not for him to play with. He loves his toys and as soon as I pick them up
he will flip the whole basket over and find another one he wants. He loves to catch his ball or any treat.
He does table and counter surf but is getting a lot better about it. He still does not go up stairs we are
still working on getting him up the stairs. He will go up a couple but that is it. He is a big love bug and
loves nothing more than to be able to sit next to you or on you on the couch.
Boozer came to MADGRL in May 2009
Buckley
(Click for additional pictures)
Buckley is an approximately 1 year old merle male with natural ears. He is a big boy that loves to jump like a Tigger.
He is going to need a very special home that is willing to spend some time working on training with him. However, Buckley
is very sensitive so he must only have positive reward based training. For the first 4 months that he was in his foster home,
he could not be leashed. He would tremble and drool and freeze when it was attached to his collar. Finally, one day after much
de-sensitization training, he allowed his foster mom to take him for his first walk. He is good on a leash but if any pressure
is applied to move him, he will freeze again. Consequently, his foster mom just calls his name and he will come. He has not
been around other dogs because of the difficulty in placing him on a leash but his foster mom thinks he will be good with female
dogs. She will be testing him soon. Buckley knows that he is not supposed to jump on people so he tries his best to jump around
them. Therefore, he will not be placed with children. He would certainly knock them down. He also tends to put your hand and arm
in his mouth if he wants attention. He is much better but it takes constant reminding for him to not do it. Buckley loves to
play outside with his toys and sticks. His favorite hobby is to snuggle. He tries to put his entire body on you to get rubs.
He knows sit, down and settle (which is an important one). Buckley is probably not a good first time dog because of the work
that he needs on his manners but he is a true love. He loves to give kisses and nibble on your ear. If you have the time to work
consistently on training this big teddy bear, please consider opening your home and heart to him. He will be a truly fantastic
dog given the right situation and training.
Buckley came to MADGRL in September 2009
Dante
(Click for additional pictures)
Dante is a 4.5 yo black male with natural ears. His owner took him in to
avoid his being taken to the shelter. His previous owner was a member of the
family who had fallen on tough times, job wise and could no longer keep him.
He is an exceptionally nice boy, laid back and easy going, gets along with
everything. He had free run of the house, his owner said. Even food could be
left left out on the counter and was safe, he would not bother anything.
Dante is very loving with people, leans with the best of them. He is
excellent at baths, loves it!!!
Dante came to MADGRL in August 2009
Dewey
(Click for additional pictures)
Dewey is an approximately 2 year old black male with natural ears. Dewey has a little bit of a white mask, undercarriage,
a three white feet and a couple of white toe nails. He came to us from a shelter. We are unsure of his past, but whatever
happened to him seems to have been extremely traumatic for him in the form of loud sounds and unfamiliar forms. Upon first
coming to his foster home, these fears seemed a little normal, but they have not easily dissipated despite being comforted.
Dewey is scared of any loud noise, or something being moved or moving. When he gets scared, he will just go to his "safe" place.
Currently it's on the bed with his "baby" teddy bear. He is concerned over the ceiling fan and continually looks at it wondering
if it's off - when will it start spinning again?, or on.... when will it stop? We have just learned to think of this quirky behavior
as cute. However, he is not concerned with the ceiling fans in other houses. Sometimes when he licks his food bowl clean, it will
drop off the riser, and then he will run from the noise. He is Ok with clapping, whistling, and loud voices. He doesn't mind thunder
or lightening too much, it seems to be noises that are near to him and unexpected. Dewey has met some large and small dogs, and plays
nicely with them. He is a little fearful of meeting people at first, but will warm up once being petted and played with. He walks
well on a leash, but we often go to a large field where he has lots of room to run and play chase with his people. He loves exploring.
He really just loves being outdoors. He also loves chasing squirrels, and will "wait" out or follow a squirrel from tree to tree.
In addition to chasing squirrels, he loves to chase a ball but is not so good at the bringing it back part. Dewey loves being in the car,
so much so that at times he will get in the car while we are unloading groceries, and not come out until we take him for a ride.
Dewey is a little bit of a finicky eater. He doesn’t like just kibble but will eat if when mixed with canned food. He does not like
to eat in the dark, and prefers to eat with others in the room. He has met children, and is fine with them, but it would be preferable
for Dewey to not be alone outside with children under the age of 10. I have not seen Dewey have zoomies in the house, and he is not
overly rambunctious indoors. Dewey has been in a crate, but would rather not be - so we took it down, and have not had any accidents as
long as you can read his "I want to go out" movements. Dewey has not chewed anything that did not belong to him except for the TV clicker,
and that was because he rolled over on it and it pinched him, so he pinched it back... and broke it. Our toilet bowl covers are always down,
but he does know that there is water in there, and will walk back and forth to the toilet when he is thirsty. Dewey loves watching TV when
he hears dogs barking. When Dewey came to us, he was extremely thin so we sort of spoiled him to bulk him up a bit; he likes ham, chicken,
rice, chop meat and hot dogs. He is not a big fan of cheese because he thinks there might be medicine inside. Unfortunately, he learned
that stuff on the stove is hot so he does not counter surf but is still curious as to what may be up there. It took a little more than
a month for Dewey to become acclimated to the house and to trust us. But now he leans, asks to be brushed, head butts you when he wants
attention, and loves lying in bed. He is OK in the bath tub... once you get him in. Even with his little fears, I have never seen him
angry or aggressive. I have stuck my hands in his food bowl, in his ears, his mouth, pulled on his tail, checked his toes, and clean
his ears and eyes, and mouth often. Dewey is a very smart, a little fearful, born again Dane puppy that will work well with an individual
or family that can spend time with him, teaching, playing and learning to live with everyone's little quirks. He is fun, loveable, loyal
and beautiful. He is just a good old' laid back boy with the heart of a babe who needs a new shot at good love. Dewey is currently going
to obedience class, and is doing well for a dog with no back ground in manners. Dewey has a little limp on his left hind leg that is
being checked on and we will update when we know more.
Update 1/24/10 - The vet believes took x-rays of Dewey's back legs, and found that Dewey has some bone abnormality that he believes is due
to lack of nutrition. Dewey's back leg bones have grown into a sort of "s" shape. This has not has any effect on his running, playing,
laying or anything. However, his foster parent has over- precautioned due to the look of his legs, and since being there,
has not trained him to sit. However, we have done sit in obedience class, but we don't do it often, he would rather just stand,
or lay upon command. The Vet assures us that there is absolutely nothing wrong with Dewey's joints. This has not prevented him from
sitting, or running like the wind, or anything else, he's just done this in a different way to accommodate himself for this malnutrition
that was prevented from him as a puppy. Dewey now weighs 116 pounds. Because of this hind leg malnutrition, it would not be wise to put
more than 10 - 15 more pounds on Dewey during his life. The only thing we foresee for this neglect for poor Dewey, is there may be an
earlier case of arthritis. However, we cannot predict when that will be, as dogs this big will mostly tend to get arthritis because of
their long legs and large size. Dewey is now on a Glucosamine and Condroitin supplement. Dewey is great at the vet, not scared at all,
and still loves everything as long as he knows someone who loves him is with him! Dewey has just started showing some happy activity in
house. But, the most, he loves laying on the bed. Dewey is so wonderful, so loving, so sweet, so scared and honest about his feelings,
he truly needs someone who is willing to give love, kisses, rewards, playfulness, attention, and devotion.
Dewey came to MAGDRL in November 2009.
Ella
Ella is a three yo female merle with natural ears. She was taken in as a stray in Randolph County NC
by a good Samaritan who then contacted our rescue. She appears to have had several litters of pups during
her short life leading us to believe she may have been a back yard breeders dog. She's a very loving girl
with people, including kids but does not like other dogs. She will need to be an only dog in her new home.
Cats are a no no with her as well She was very thin when she first arrived. Since then she has gained weight
and is rapidly becoming the beautiful, slick and shiny girl she was destined to be. Ella needs a foster home, can you help?
Ella came to MAGDRL in January 2010
Hemingway
(Click for additional pictures)
Hemingway is a 2 1/2 year old Harlequin male who is very social, he loves all the dogs he meets and just loves
people, but is not good with cats at all and will not be placed with cats. Hemi in his foster home loves the kids
in the home he will sit and just watch them play for hours and will join in on the fun. He does not do well in car
rides and does get car sick. Hemingway needs training on manners and he does not seem to know his boundaries, his
foster home is working on this with him and he is coming around slowly. He is not house trained and they are working
on house training him, he came to rescue as a stray, so we believe he has always been an outside dog, and he is learning
life on the inside especially the couch, Hemingway loves the couch. He is free to roam in his foster home. He does
well on a leash and is very food motivated and will take your steaks off the counter if you are not watching, but the
foster home is working on counter surfing as well. He will now sit and lay down they are working on bed and drop it.
Hemingway is scared of loud noises. Hemi is a wonderful boy that just needs some training. He will get out of the
fence so at least a 5 foot fence is required. He is a very energetic boy.
Hemingway came to MAGDRL in November 2009.
Hollie
(Click for additional pictures)
Hollie is a 6 year old fawn female with cropped and standing ears. This is her second trip to rescue.
She was adopted in 2006 has become somewhat aggressive with kids, particularly little girls. Twice during
this calendar year there have been problems between her and young girls. Strangely enough Hollie lived the
past 3 years with 2 young boys. They were her best buds in the whole world. We think she might be too motherly
and possessive of them and she resource guards the little girls. Her family felt with all the kids in their
neighborhood, they could not take a chance that someone wouldn't get hurt, so she came back to MAGDRL.
Hollie is a somewhat small girl, although her gorgeous head and conformation make her look bigger.
She regularly spends playtime at the kennel where she is currently staying with male danes and get along
with all. She's a bit alpha so she hasn't been allowed free run with other females yet, suspicions are they'd
need to be submissive in order to get along with her. Hollie loves toys and will spend hours amusing herself
with a good chew toy. Stuffies don't last very long with Miss Hollie but she does love them!
Hollie came to MADGRL in August 2009
Huey
(Click for additional pictures)
Huey is a 2 year old black male that is a very playfuly boy, he loves his toys and likes to walk
around with them in his mouth. Huey does need some room for roaming outside, he likes to stretch his
legs and he loves to go on walks, and greeting everyone that walks up to him to give him pets.
Huey is great with kids, and loves his sister in his foster home, he can be a bit rough at play but
is fine with the Yorkie in his foster home but if you have a large dog he does better with submissive
large dogs. Huey has a big head that he wants to be in your lap when you are sitting, he enjoys a good head
rub and his ears scratched.
Huey came to MADGRL in October 2009
Josie
(Click for additional pictures)
Josie is a 6 year old black female with natural ears. She was turned into the vet by her previous
because they kept 2 pups from her last litter and did not have room for her. She was heart worm positive.
She has since been through the heart worm treatment and is now heart worm negative and has been spayed.
She is house broke and lets you know when she needs to potty by pacing back and forth. She does have some
separation anxiety when she doesn't have a window to see out of if you are outside and she is not. We were
told that she is good with children, cats and dogs. Upon being with her foster she showed signs of being great
with the cat, children, and the submissive male dog. The foster home is working on basic training and the separation
issues. She does know sit, stay and lay down, but does the sit and down when she wants to. She does not counter
surf and will stay away from the table while you are eating. She is very sweet and loves attention. She also loves
car rides and does very good in the car.
Josie came to MADGRL in October 2009
Kincade
(Click for additional pictures)
Kincade is a gorgeous 9 month old blue female with cropped and standing ears. She is already weighing in at 112lbs
so she is going to be a large female. She was an owner surrender and came in with a mild case of demodex mange. She
was treated with 2 rounds of Ivermectin and has no more mites. She does has a sensitive stomach and is currently on
a prescription diet that she will have to stay on. We are waiting on bloodwork results, but it appears to be either
Colitis or Inflammatory Bowel Disease. She is doing fine as long as she stays on special food. Kincade is currently
living with 5 other dogs, male and female, medium and large in size. She would probably do best in a home with another
large dog as she can play very rough at times. Her foster home also has 2 cats which she chases, she would do better
in a home without cats. Kincade loves people and to be with them, she has some separation anxiety when her foster mom
leaves the home. She is crate-trained for the most part but she has had a few accidents. She does best in her crate
for small amounts of time and would not do well for more than 4 hours. She is really a 16 week old puppy at heart and
can be destructive at times so I would not trust her out of a crate. Kincade has been around kids and does fine,
although due to her high energy level and large size (which she doesn't realize) would probably do better with older
kids. She walks fine on a leash and her foster home is working on her basic commands, she does act stubborn at times
but is very food motivated. She is a very special girl looking for a forever home.
Kincade came to MADGRL in August 2009
Leroy
(Click for additional pictures)
Leroy is a handsome 3 year old mantle merle (145 lbs) with cropped and standing ears and a huge
smiling face. His owners could no longer keep him or their other Dane, so they turned them in together.
This is the second time in rescue for Leroy. He was picked up as a stray in 2008. He is easily startled,
but does not have a mean bone in his body. Leroy is energetic and loving. His favorite spot is a place on
the couch. He gets along well with all sized dogs, children, men and women, however is unsure about cats.
Leroy is a heavy leaner so he could knock down smaller children. He is a graceful jumper so higher fences
would be preferred. He is housetrained, however is not allowed to roam free in the house as he still has a
mischievous side. He is crate trained and feels comfortable sleeping there at night. He is easily persuaded
to get inside vehicles for a drive. He is fond of hugs and kisses. His favorite toy, a red rubber ball,
keeps him busy for hours. He will counter and table surf if unsupervised. He does walk on a lead but may
become easily distracted so best if a child does not walk him at first. He has entropian in both eyes however
natural tears or ophthalmic lubricant will help reduce redness. This loving boy deserves a next forever home
and will surely be missed.
Leroy came to MADGRL in November 2009
Macy
(Click for additional pictures)
Macy is a 14 month old harlequin female with natural ears. She weighs in at just under 100 pounds, so even though
she is still a growing puppy, we believe she will stay a bit on the small side for a Dane. Mace came to rescue because
her owner was injured and was unable to continue to care for her. She is great with dogs of all sizes and ages, cats
and even goats too! She has the sweetest, most loving personality. All she really wants is lots of love, attention and
FOOD. Macy loves to eat and will counter surf if food is left available, however her foster home is working with her on
that. She knows the commands sit, shake and come. She is house trained and has yet to tear up anything at her foster home,
so she's not destructive. Macy is great with kids of all ages. She has been around children under 2 and 4 years old and
just seems to only want to share her kisses... and boy does she give good kisses! She loves to cuddle on the couch.
Macy loves to lay on the couch or bed and she will lay right on top of you. She is just a big lap dog. She can run like
the wind! She has a lot of outdoor energy, but knows when she's inside that it's time to relax. This girl LOVES her toys,
but she'd rather have people attention than anything else. She is not good in a crate, and she is a verbal dog meaning
she growls innocently when playing and she whines when her foster mommy gets our of her sight. She is good with both men
and women and seems to be afraid of nothing. Macy would be good in a home as the only dog or multiple dogs. She's just
really a great girl and would be a wonderful addition to any family.
Macy came to MADGRL in November 2009
Magi
(Click for additional pictures)
Magi is a beautiful 6 year old harlequin female with natural ears. She was left at a vet's office so we do
not know a lot of her story. She is very shy at first meeting but warms up to visitors quickly. She is living
in a house with 3 other dogs that weigh between 50 and 120 lbs, she does best when she is out playing with her
Dane Brother in foster home. She was very nervous girl when she first arrived and it took her a couple of days
to explore the house, she was afraid of the hallway and would not walk down the hallway but will now move
throughout the house! Her back legs seem to be weak and will slip out from under her but her x-rays were wonderful,
she just needs to build up her legs! Magi is a picky eater and prefers to eat alone, she is not food aggressive
but prefers her own company while eating. She is completely housebroken. Magi enjoys daily walks, she does not
currently live with children but ignores them on walks. She is very well behaved in the house and only counter-surfs
to get her toys down. Magi will do best in a home with another Great Dane or a large dog for her to follow.
Magi came to MADGRL in October 2009
Magnolia
(Click for additional pictures)
Magnolia is a 4 year old Blue Mantle female, she is loving life in her foster home, even though it is a small
space she is very comfortable. Magnolia has started going for walks and she loves to walk. There’s lots of stuff
to smell. She always try to remember where she is staying, so she will stop and look back toward her foster home,
we think it is so she will know the way back in case she gets lost. Magnolia is not too sure about getting out of
cars, but she loves to get in them and go for a ride and she loves to smell all parked cars in driveways when she
is on her walks, but she does not like big roads with a lot of cars the noise scares her. If she doesn’t want to do
something, she just sits and looks sad. Her foster family is very patient, Magnolia would like to have a sofa to
sit on in her forever home. She really like’s to be with people, and when they are home, she follows them around
and stays in the room where they are. When they have company, Magnolia loves everyone and loves that they pet her
and scratch her neck and let’s her lean into them. Magnolia loves to eat and is always hungry. Magnolia is not a
chewer so you don’t have to worry about anything getting chewed up. She loves people but does not care much for
other dogs. Magnolia would be good as an only dog in the house.
Magnolia came to MADGRL in November 2009
MarmaDuke
(Click for additional pictures)
MarmaDuke is a 3.5 year old black male with natural ears. He's a puppy that has not grown up yet.
Very active and full of himself, he just can't seem to resist getting into mischief. Good with female dogs,
large and small, but not with male dogs. MarmaDuke tends to come on a bit strong when meeting new dogs so slow
introductions are best. Needless to say, he is not good with cats. No history with kids although he has been
around kids at the rescue kennel. Therefore, he'll be limited to kids 12 years and older. He really loves people
and being loved on. Containing his elation is the problem, an obedience course is a good idea for this boy.
MarmaDuke came to MADGRL in November 2009
Peyton
(Click for additional pictures)
Peyton is a 3 year old black female. She comes to MAGDRL via a shelter where she was picked up as a stray.
Very thin with calloused elbows and hips, it appeared she spent a lot of time on hard surfaces. Now that she's
at the rescue kennel, she is gaining weight, regaining her confidence, her shiny coat and becoming quite the
pretty lady. She is fine with all males, large and small and submissive females. A dominant female challenging
her will get a response. Since kids are an unknown, Peyton will be limited to kids 8 and older. Cats are an
unknown as well, updates will be added as more info is gained. Peyton does need a foster home.
Peyton came to MADGRL in November 2009
Sage
(Click for additional pictures)
Sage is a 15 month old Mantle male dane. He is quite the gentleman to be so young. He is getting
along great with two other danes and a corgi. It appeared at first that he would do well with cats
but he has recently started chasing and barking at the cat that lives in my home so he probably shouldn't
be in a home that has cats. Sage loves to sleep in his crate and will sometimes go and get in it himself
before bedtime. He is totally 'potty' trained and will let you know if he needs to go outside by standing
at the door. I have started walking him on a leash and he is doing pretty good - that is until he sees a
squirrel and then i am lucky if i can hold on. I have introduced him to a gentle leash and he is responding
very well. Sage loves to go hiking with his furry siblings and he especially likes getting in the creek and
jumping it. He loves a bath and stands nice and quiet. At the end of the day he just wants to curl up on
the couch and sit as close to me as he can. He's just a handsome young man that really has a heart of gold.
Sage is to much for small children so I think he would be fine with 12 and up because of his energy level.
He is a sweet boy just looking for that couch to lay on.
Sage came to MADGRL in November 2009
Sampson
(Click for additional pictures)
Sampson is a 2 year old black male with natural ears. He came to rescue from a shelter after being
abandoned as a stray. When he came in, he was grossly underweight. With love and steady meals Sampson has began to put on
weight and is filling his large frame out beautifully. From his shoulders to the ground is 32 inches tall. Sampson is a
lovable leaner, stays close to your side and adores attention. He has not yet picked up the art of toys, instead, he would
rather sit by your side. Sampson enjoys his time in the house and pays attention to our cat, but quickly retreats. He has
not shown any aggression towards the cat. He plays very well with the foster families 1 1/2 year old female Dane and pays no
attention to the 2 year old male in the house. Sampson's foster family is working on his house manners, walking on a leash and jumping.
Sampson came to MADGRL in November 2009
Theo
(Click for additional pictures)
Theo is a 2 year old black male with natural ears. Theo's personality is first and foremost
kind, and it shows that he is greatful to be loved and cared for. He is calm inside, but outside he likes to run
like the wind. Theo moves very elegantly, almost like he doesn't touch the ground. He is learning leash walking and is
making progress. He gets along great with all 4 of his foster sisters, no food agression whatsoever, and plays very
nice with and without toys. Theo has a medical conditon called megaesophagus. In short that means his esophagus is enlarged
and does not move food well down to the stomach, so Theo eats softened dog food standing up on a bench to let gravity
help the food go to his stomach. When he first came, he was so malnourished and thin, that his stomach could only handle
small portions 4 times a day, but he is now eating 2 regular meals plus a snack and is doing great. He still has issues
related to him starving before, so he counter-surfs alot but we are working on that and he is getting much better since
he understands that he will get fed regularly now. Theo is an elegant and special boy, he has survived many hardships
in his very young life, but he is the kind of dog that will give you three-fold in return for saving him and giving him
a chance to have a life which he now enjoys so much!
Theo came to MADGRL in December 2009
Thor
(Click for additional pictures)
Thor is a 1 year old, black, neutered male. He is only about 105 pounds but appears much larger.
He is a really wonderful guy. Thor gets along with other dogs of all sizes, both male and female.
He is good with cats, although he usually just ignores them. He previously lived with a family and we
are told that he is good with children as well. He is also crate trained. Thor is being treated now
for a bad skin infection that he acquired from a flea infestation and food allergies that weren't taken
care of. After less than a week of medication, he is already showing great improvement. Thor does need
some work with training, but he is a very quick learner and very food motivated! He loves playing with
his foster brother, Tyson, and going for walks with his foster mom. He also loves car rides. Thor is
trying to overcome his fear of men that most likely developed because of an abusive situation. He will bark
at men and run to his foster mom for protection, but then warms up after some time. He has already shown
great improvement around men as well, he just needs some time to learn to trust. Thor is content doing
anything as long as his people are around. He is such a happy-go-lucky guy, he will make a great addition
to almost any family.
Thor came to MADGRL in November 2009
Zoe
Zoe is a three yo female merle with white markings. She can be skittish when meeting new people and dogs. Given time to introduce
herself is key to getting to know this girl. Once she knows people only want to love on her and other dogs just want to play, she settles
into being the perfect Great Dane. This is her second time in rescue. She had become snarly with a
Chihuahua in her previous adoptive
home after living with him for almost two years. Most times this kind of behavior is an indication that stronger leadership may be needed.
It's recommended she go to a home that practices nothing in life is free (NILIF)in her new home. Zoe is now in a rescue kennel and adapting
very well. A foster home would put the finishing touches on this fine girl. While here, she has spent time with male and female dogs.
She is okay with cats. Over the past few weeks, she has met quite a few new people, and just gets better and better with introductions.
Zoe spent a few days in a temporary foster home after coming back and did very well. She lived with two small girls and a mix female terrier, no issues at all.
Zoe came to MAGDRL in January 2010
Zozo
(Click for additional pictures)
Zozo is doing wonderful in her foster home, she is living with 3 other Danes and a cat. Zozo we have learned can be very head strong at times and has a hard time with boundary's her foster home is working on her boundaries. Zozo is also to much for small children she will challenge them because they are her same height so we fill Zozo should not be put in a home with children 14 and under. she is showing all signs of an Alpha but will submit to the male adult Dane in the house. She plays very well with all the Danes in the home and loves to play almost non-stop as soon as she is still she falls asleep. Zozo loves to give hugs and kisses and will lay on you all day for pets and loving. Zozo is looking for that special home that can give her what she needs and set good strong boundaries.
